So, you’re interested in coming to SHOWCASE? Smart you. Here’s a little of what you can expect …
Demos (lots of them)
We’re inviting twenty startups, developers, academics and growing businesses to tell us what they’re working on and why it will change the world.
Demos will run back-to-back throughout the day in the main room and each one will last about 15 minutes + a little time for questions. If you’re involved in the software industry or want to know how your industry is gonna change in the next five years, this is something you cannot afford to miss.
Workshops
Running parallel to the demos, we’ve also lined up a series of technical and industry workshops covering everything from cloud computing to creative industries.
These workshops are designed to be as practical as possible. Delivered by expert staff from organisations like Microsoft and Ubuntu (TBC), the technical workshops will give developers and key staff hands-on experience with the latest platforms.
For those with a less technical focus, experienced pros from cloud computing, mobile tech and the digital creative industries will host dedicated sessions that answer one important question: “what can I do with it?”
Networking
SHOWCASE is likely to be the biggest technology event in the NW this year - attracting both locals and those from further afield - which means it’s a unique opportunity to make connections and build relationships.
With that in mind, we’ve also given over plenty of time to informal networking and will be filling you with tea and coffee throughout the day.
Pick-n-Mix
Of course you can decide exactly how you spend your day. You can pick one stream and stick to it, drop in and out of the demos and workshops that pique your interest or spend the whole day just hanging out chatting to new contacts and old.
