SHOWCASE is a pretty simple idea - we invite fresh, exciting talent to show off their latest products, projects and businesses in a day-long series of short demos. At the same time, we invite a few industry heavyweights to tell us a little about what they’re up to.

The result is a mixed bag of big ideas designed to inspire creativity, new thinking and new collaborations - and give the people with great ideas a platform to get them out there.

Each SHOWCASE focuses on a single theme or industry. The first one took place in September 2010, and featured 20+ demos from the most exciting startups in mobile and web applications.

The next events are:

• SHOWCASE x Ecopreneurs: Spring/Summer 2011, venue TBC

Apply to Present at Showcase

At the core of each event are the product/project demos and presentations from exciting startups and groundbreaking professionals.

Presentations are short, to the point and should inspire the audience to think differently. Sales pitches don’t fit but inspiring stories and big ideas do. This is your chance to give the presentation of your life - so leave the crappy slideshows in the office. (Slides are fine, just don’t make them crappy.)

Where possible, our events are designed to be free - which means we rely on our sponsors and partners to help make them happen.

Previous sponsors include software giants, city councils, universities, recruitment firms and business support agencies. We do whatever we can to put together a package that delivers real benefits and maximises your involvement.

Similarly, we’re always on the lookout for organisations and brands that we feel we can work together with. We’re currently planning co-branded events in association with a growing regional web brand and an established film festival.
